The Little House, ITV's two-part adaptation of my modern novel, is being re-broadcast for the second time in a month. ITV3 will show both episodes this evening, from 10pm to midnight. I wrote the book in the 1990s, and it explores some of the struggles of moving forward into a more modern world: the continuing stigma of mental illness, and the difficulty of dealing with long-established, rigid expectations of different genders.
